If you’re currently pursuing an entrepreneurial dream, you know how much of a pain in the butt it is to create something out of nothing. I spend a lot of my time creating content. But I spend even MORE time reading and doing research on how to share and maximize the value of that content. Being a voracious reader has served me greatly. Not only is my blog writing continuously improving, but my understanding of my business goals is evolving as well.
I fully believe that to be successful as an entrepreneur you have to be resourceful and inspired. Even more importantly, I think that you have to have a passion for learning. If you’re not interested in maximizing your potential and adding value to your industry, working for yourself will have you burnt out faster than you can say, “look mom! I’m an entrepreneur!”.
Making learning a priority brought me to critical information and brand solutions for problems I didn’t even know I had. Researching SEO (search engine optimization) showed me that I was harming my brand by making uninformed posting decisions. Without understanding the power of my keywords and readability, I wouldn’t have already had more than half a dozen articles reach the 1st page of google results.
When you read widely you can incorporate different theories and practices into your business and find the perfect flow within your brand. I only started blogging 4 months ago but I have already learned an invaluable amount information and grown in ways I never expected! Luckily, my brand has been steadily growing with me. A lot of it has been trial and error, but even more of it has been reading and studying from the people I admire and respect, as well as my industry’s leaders.
Fingers crossed, I will continue to grow my brand, because I’m not ready to stop here. If you’re not ready to stop with your business either, here are three recent reads that fuelled me to push myself harder and never give up on my dream. Hopefully, you’ll feel inspired too!
